I'm Martina Tanšek, and I make worlds: stages, spaces, and the characters who move through them.
I came to this the long way around. For over a decade I was a mechanical engineer, at CERN, ESO, and PI Group, where I learned to take an idea and make it real enough to be measured, built, and trusted.
I never stopped being that person.
But I was always also the other one: the one who reads too far into the night and is convinced the ordinary world has a seam in it, and that if you find the right thread you can slip through to somewhere stranger.

Now I'm finishing an MA in Scenography at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb, and the two have finally made peace: the engineer who can hold a tolerance, and the dreamer who wants to build a story.
You can feel it in all of it: theatre and exhibition design, the liminal.seeds illustration world, stop-motion, 3D, photography,
and the stories I write, but mostly keep to myself.
The thread never changes.
Spaces and figures, physical and digital, with the light and the shadow at the centre.

What I bring to a production or an exhibition is rare:
someone who can dream the room - and then make it real.
